Filing opposition
According to law, anybody who assumes a trademark covered in a new application similar or identical to his own mark may file an opposition with the registration office within maximum 30 days from publication date.
The registration office will notify the opposition to the applicant within 10 days and if the applicant does not submit to the opposition, opposer may file a petition with the Tehran court demanding cancellation of the confusing trademark application.
We need a power of attorney duly notarized and legalized by the Iranian consulate and a copy of application / registration certificate or last renewal certificate to file such an opposition.
