According to the Iranian law, any license agreement concluded between licenser and licensee shall be recorded with the industrial property office. The licenser or licensee may by virtue of the law, solicit the recordal of the concluded license agreement in the industrial property office.
Not only non-recordal of the license agreement is contrary to the law but it also with the passing of time will establish ownership right of the trademark for the licensee. For this very reason it is emphatically recommended that the license agreement be recorded with the registry office as soon as possible.
Necessary documents for filing license Agreement:
License agreement duly executed, notarized and legalized by the Iranian consulate.
Power of attorney duly executed, notarized and legalized by the Iranian consulate.
